Fundraise for Prostate

Overview

Whatever you choose to do please know it will impact on the lives of New Zealanders affected by prostate cancer, both present and future generations. With no government funding we rely on the generosity of New Zealanders like you to help us in the fight against prostate cancer and event-based fundraising plays a huge role in that. We never cease to be amazed at the creativity and dedication of people across the country who organise, or participate in, events to support the Foundation. However you choose to fundraise, every effort, every activity, every dollar, however small, helps us to improve the health outcomes of Kiwi men and support them and their families through tough times.

A virtual cycle circumnavigation, face your fear challenge, a golf tourno with your mates, a friendly rugby match or workplace bake-off, it all starts with an idea - create your own or join a ready-made event. Your journey to becoming a fundraising hero starts here at fundraise4prostate.org.nz

Blue September

Every September, businesses, community groups, families and individuals all over New Zealand join together getting the message out to New Zealand men to “get checked” for prostate cancer, and raise vital funds to help us improve outcomes for the more than 4,000 Kiwi men diagnosed with the disease every year.

Ride a blue bike, bake a blue cake, wear a blue cape, row across a lake, go for a run or hit a hole in one! This year’s campaign is all about encouraging people to Do Something Blue to Help a Mate Through. The sky’s the limit so hop on over to blueseptember.org.nz for a little inspiration. Registrations for 2024 will be open soon.

Dry July

Way to go New Zealand! Over 7900 of you stepped up to the challenge, going Dry for July in 2023. Collectively you raised over $1.1 million for people affected by cancer. Your support is helping us provide nationwide support services to men and their families at a time when they need it the most, including the tailored exercise programme Prost-FIT.
