Quality of Life Study: Participants Invited

The Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ supports the following study [HDEC and AUTEC approved]. Details as provided by the organisers.

  • Are you 18 years old?
  • Are you a NZ permanent resident / citizen?
  • Are you diagnosed with prostate cancer and currently have end staged metastasised stage?
  • Receiving therapy for metastatic prostate cancer?

As part of his DHSc (Doctorate of Health Sciences) research Madhusudan Vyas is seeking persons [who meet the criteria above] to take part in a survey about their experience with the various treatments they have received / are receiving, such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy, hormone management therapy. The information will be used to help the study team understand the impacts of the new treatment more thoroughly and will help us to understand the impact of various treatments on the individual’s quality of life.

Madhusudan Vyas is also a Medical Radiation Technologist specialising in Nuclear Medicine and working with Mercy Radiology, Auckland, in addition to working as a lecturer for the undergraduate Medical Imaging programme (BHSc MI) at Unitec Institute of Technology Auckland.
