The Prostate Cancer Foundation is delighted to have been selected by Harness Racing New Zealand to support the Foundation’s Blue September campaign from this year.
Harness Racing New Zealand’s (HRNZ) Blue September campaign will run for four weeks from September 1, with ten male drives wearing Blue Prostate Cancer Silks. The Clerk of the Courses around the country will also wear white silks with the blue Prostate Cancer Foundation logo.
HRNZ will donate $100 for every win by a driver wearing the silks, and other clubs and individuals are also asked to contribute.
HRNZ Chairman John Coulam said “The HRNZ board are unanimous in their support of the Blue September prostate cancer promotion and encourage clubs and industry participants to support this prostate cancer awareness program.”
There will be 19 race meetings during the month, starting with Invercargill and Auckland on 2 September.
