Ryman family raises $422,000 for Prostate Cancer NZ

Categories: Latest News,Medical,Prostate Matters

On 21 October 2022, Ryman Healthcare donated a game-changing $422,000 to the Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ, official charity partner 2021-2022 (alongside the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia).  The Foundation is staggered by the funds raised and can’t thank everyone enough.

CEO Peter Dickens and Board Member John McFedries visited the Diana Isaac Retirement Village in Christchurch to meet with residents and staff, and members of the Ryman Healthcare Team, for a very special cheque presentation. Diana Isaac Village was the champion fundraiser, raising $15,000, smashing their target by 36%. Funds raised throughout the campaign by village staff and residents were then matched $ for $ by Ryman Healthcare, which makes this result even more astounding, considering the Covid restrictions villages have experienced over the past year.

Funds raised have enabled the Foundation to purchase and outfit a van which will be used to take our Education & Outreach on the road, visiting Ryman Healthcare and other retirement villages, community events, workplaces and more. Updates on that soon.
