At this meeting we are hosting Gabriela Ilie and Rob Rutledge, the researchers and clinicians behind the Prostate Cancer – Patient Empowerment Programme research project in Canada. PC-PEP is a 6-month home-based comprehensive health-promotion program for men with a diagnosis of Prostate Cancer. Following on from delivering a presentation at one of the key urology conferences in Sydney, the duo are coming to NZ in support of a collaboration currently in development with PCFNZ. They are bringing with them a prostate cancer survivor who has been through the programme and has been part of their research. It’s a unique opportunity to receive a presentation on their findings to date, some of which have been published in the most prestigious urological journals globally.

We are excited to welcome special guests Dr Brendon Anderson (Oncologist and Clinical Director, St George’s Cancer Care Centre, Christchurch) and Chris Roberts. A member of the group, Chris was the first person in NZ to undergo radiation therapy using New Zealand’s first and only MRI-guided Linear Accelerator (MR Linac). Dr Anderson will speak more about this world-leading development and its role in prostate cancer treatment.

If you are unable to attend the meeting in person you are invited to join via ZOOM. Click here to join.
