Mehul shares his story of why he’s supporting Testicular Cancer.
spent the last few years in London, and lived with a good friend of mine for while. Towards the end of my stint, I found out that him and his wife were having a baby, much to my delight. It wasn’t until after the baby was born that I found out that just before the baby was due, he found a lump in one of his testicles. He saw a doctor and promptly had it taken out, a few days before the baby came. It turned out it was cancerous, and that he was extremely lucky to have found it when he did. To me, it was a shock having a really good friend of mine go through a scare like that, especially as he was just starting a family (he is in his early 30s). It showed that cancer can strike at any point, and it was a reminder that life can be short. That is why we decided to try and raise awareness for testicular cancer, and try to raise some money towards a cure.
