Prostate cancer treatments can affect sexual function to varying degrees and is often a cause of real concern for men and their partners. While the prostate gland doesn’t directly contribute to the ability to have an erection, it is surrounded by nerves and blood vessels that are important to effective erections. During treatment these can be damaged or may need to be removed resulting in temporary or long-term erectile dysfunction.
Coping with this can be a challenge. This webinar will address this sensitive issue looking at the reasons for erectile dysfunction and, more importantly, what are some of the treatments and aids that can assist in recovery of this function.
The webinar will be presented by Dr Giovanni Losco, Consultant Urologist with a special interest in erectile dysfunction, and Sharon Wilson, Physiotherapist at Restore Physiotherapy in Nelson with a special interest in pelvic health physiotherapy.
