A range of free in-person and remote support services are available to help those diagnosed with prostate cancer, their families and whānau.
An extensive national network of trained volunteers provides holistic support, founded on mutual respect and a shared understanding of the cancer journey. The contact details for your local Support Coordinator is listed on this page. Some groups meet on a regular basis, some informally as part of their Prost-FIT classes. Please don’t hesitate to contact the group coordinator directly to find out more.
Other support services include:
- Nurse-led 0800 Information Service
- Online Support Forum,
- Rainbow Blue peer support for the GBTQIA+ community
- 24/7 free counselling service
- Welfare Grant service
- Tailored exercise programme called Prost-FIT;
- And the Prostate Cancer Patient Empowerment Programme (PC-PEP).
